Demand Transparent and Inclusive Peace Talks for Ukraine

Target: President Joe Biden, Chancellor Friedrich Merz, President Volodymyr Zelensky, President Vladimir Putin, and international mediators
Goal: Urge global leaders to ensure that peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are transparent, inclusive, and respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and the will of its people.
With the upcoming meeting between President Trump and President Putin in Alaska, there is renewed hope for a ceasefire and an end to the devastating war in Ukraine. However, true peace can only be achieved if negotiations are conducted transparently, with the full participation of Ukraine and its people, and in accordance with international law.
We call on all parties to ensure that any agreement:
- Respects Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity
- Includes strong, enforceable security guarantees for Ukraine
- Is reached with the consent of the Ukrainian people and their democratically elected representatives
- Provides for accountability for violations of international law
Peace cannot be imposed from above or behind closed doors. The voices of those most affected—Ukrainians—must be at the center of any solution. We urge international leaders to uphold these principles in all negotiations and to reject any deals made without Ukraine’s full participation and consent.
