Target: US Department of State, United Nations Security Council, Governments of India and Pakistan
Goal: We call on the US government and international community to prioritize open diplomacy, respect for sovereignty, and genuine peacebuilding in South Asia, rejecting any form of backroom negotiations or pressure tactics.
The threat of nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan is a matter of grave concern for the entire world. Recent remarks by President Trump claiming to have 'solved' the conflict through behind-the-scenes intervention raise serious questions about the transparency and legitimacy of such actions.
True and lasting peace can only be achieved when all parties engage in open, good-faith dialogue that respects the will and sovereignty of the people affected. Deals made in secret or under the threat of economic coercion undermine trust, stability, and the prospects for genuine reconciliation.
We urge all governments and international bodies to commit to transparent diplomacy, uphold international law, and support peace processes led by the people of South Asia themselves. The world must reject the normalization of nuclear brinkmanship and backroom bargaining over the lives and futures of millions.
