Goal: Ensure all negotiations about Ukraine’s future are transparent, inclusive, and uphold Ukraine’s sovereignty and self-determination.
The upcoming one-on-one summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska raises serious concerns about the future of Ukraine. With Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky excluded from these initial talks, there is a real risk that decisions could be made without the full participation of those most affected: the Ukrainian people.
History has shown that secretive deals between powerful nations often come at the expense of smaller countries’ rights and sovereignty. Any negotiation about Ukraine’s future must be transparent, must include Ukrainian representatives at every stage, and must respect the will of the Ukrainian people. The international community must not allow Ukraine's fate to be decided in backroom deals or through imposed settlements.
We stand in solidarity with Ukraine and demand a diplomatic process that prioritizes peace, security, and democracy for all.
