Goal: We urge U.S. policymakers to unequivocally support Ukraine's right to choose its own alliances, including NATO membership, and to demand the return of Crimea to Ukraine.
President Trump's recent comments dismissing NATO membership and the return of Crimea for Ukraine send a dangerous message to aggressors worldwide. Ukraine has the sovereign right to determine its own future, including joining international alliances like NATO. The illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014 was a violation of international law and must not be legitimized through inaction or negotiation without Ukraine's consent.
We call on U.S. leaders to stand firmly with Ukraine, uphold international law, and reject any deals that compromise Ukrainian sovereignty or territorial integrity. The U.S. must work with European allies to ensure that Ukraine receives the support it needs to defend its democracy and territorial rights.
