The US government’s imposition of harsh tariffs—up to 100% on chips and threats of 250% on pharmaceuticals—has directly harmed Singapore’s workers and industries. These measures are not just about trade; they are about people’s livelihoods, economic justice, and our nation’s future.

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has acknowledged the threat, but more must be done. The government must stand up for Singapore’s interests, protect vulnerable industries, and ensure that workers are not left behind. We call for bold action to defend our economy from unfair foreign policies and to build a more resilient, equitable future.
