Target: U.S. Congress, European Union leadership, and national governments of NATO member states
Goal: Urge the U.S. government and European allies to commit to robust, enforceable security guarantees for Ukraine as part of any peace agreement.
The ongoing war in Ukraine has resulted in immense human suffering, displacement, and destruction. Now, with new diplomatic possibilities emerging, the U.S. and its European partners must seize the chance to secure peace and stability for the Ukrainian people. Security guarantees modeled after NATO’s collective defense could deter further aggression and provide Ukraine with the safety it needs to rebuild and thrive.
We call on our elected officials and international partners to ensure that any negotiations with Russia include binding, transparent, and enforceable security guarantees for Ukraine. These guarantees must not be mere promises, but concrete commitments that uphold Ukraine’s sovereignty and the right of its people to live free from war and occupation.
