Target: Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the Australian Government
Goal: Urge the Australian Government to expand military, humanitarian, and diplomatic support for Ukraine, and to strengthen sanctions against Russia.
Ukraine continues to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against Russian invasion. While Australia has contributed $1.5 billion in support and provided military aid, including 49 Abrams tanks, Ukraine's ambassador has called for more assistance—particularly armoured personnel vehicles—and consistent international pressure on Russia.
With global uncertainty around continued support from some allies, Australia's role in the coalition of the willing is more important than ever. The government must not only maintain but increase its support for Ukraine, including through expanded sanctions on Russia and increased humanitarian and military aid. This is essential to help Ukraine defend itself, uphold international law, and protect the rights and lives of its people.
We call on the Australian Government to stand firm with Ukraine and the international community, ensuring that peace is achieved without compromising Ukraine's sovereignty or territorial integrity.
