Target: President of the United States, U.S. Congress, and the U.S. Department of State
Goal: Urge the U.S. administration and Congress to reject any peace deal that forces Ukraine to cede more territory to Russia or undermines Ukrainian sovereignty.
The recent summit between President Trump and President Putin, held without a prior ceasefire and lacking transparency, has set a dangerous precedent. The shift towards accepting Russia’s preferred sequencing—demanding a comprehensive peace before a ceasefire and pressuring Ukraine to make further territorial concessions—threatens to legitimize aggression and destabilize the global order.
Ukrainians have already suffered immense losses, with hundreds of thousands killed or wounded and millions displaced. Polls show that while Ukrainians are pragmatic about de facto occupations, overwhelming majorities oppose ceding any more land to Russia. Yet, the U.S. administration is reportedly pressuring Ukraine to accept a land swap that would embolden future aggression and undermine the principle of self-determination.
We call on U.S. leaders to stand with Ukraine and international law, and to refuse any deal that rewards invasion and occupation. Peace must be built on justice, accountability, and the will of the Ukrainian people—not on capitulation to threats or coercion.
