As the world watches the upcoming negotiations between the United States, Ukraine, and European leaders, we call for a peace process that centers the needs and rights of the Ukrainian people. The war in Ukraine has caused immense human suffering, displacement, and insecurity across the region.
Recent reports indicate a willingness from Russia to consider NATO-like security guarantees for Ukraine. While this is a step forward, any agreement must ensure Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the protection of civilians.
