Target: President of the United States, U.S. Congress, and G7 Leaders
Goal: We urge the U.S. government and international leaders to take immediate, concrete steps to cut off Russian oil profits, support Ukrainian sovereignty, and prioritize a just peace over expedient deals.
The ongoing war in Ukraine remains Europe’s deadliest conflict in decades, with devastating consequences for millions of people. Despite recent diplomatic meetings, the U.S. has chosen not to impose further measures to disrupt Russian oil exports, allowing Moscow to continue funding its military actions through lucrative energy sales.
Major importers like China and India continue to buy Russian oil, undermining global efforts to pressure Russia into ending its aggression. The current approach—prioritizing a quick peace deal without addressing Russia’s territorial demands—risks legitimizing land grabs and sets a dangerous precedent for international law.
We call on U.S. and global leaders to move beyond symbolic gestures and enact real policies that cut off the flow of money to Russia’s war machine, protect Ukraine’s sovereignty, and uphold human rights and international law.
