Demand Transparent, Fair, and Just US Policy for Ukraine Peace Talks

The current US approach to Ukraine-Russia peace talks raises grave concerns among allies and citizens alike. Reports indicate that President Trump’s administration is considering pressuring Ukraine to cede control of the Donbas region and other territories in exchange for vague security guarantees, while scaling back US support for Ukraine’s defense. Such a deal would reward Russian aggression, undermine international law, and set a dangerous precedent for the future of global security.

Ukraine’s sovereignty and the security of Europe are at stake. Any peace agreement must be negotiated transparently, with the full involvement of Ukraine and its allies, and must not be dictated by the aggressor. We call on US leaders to reject any lopsided ‘land swap’ proposals and instead commit to upholding Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders and providing meaningful, enforceable security guarantees.

We urge the US government to act in solidarity with Ukraine and its European partners, and to ensure that the outcome of these talks does not embolden further acts of aggression anywhere in the world.
