Target: US President Donald Trump, European Union Leaders, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Goal: Call on US and European leaders to support a peace process that respects Ukraine’s sovereignty and self-determination, and to reject any deals that force Ukraine to surrender territory or its right to choose its alliances.
Recent statements by US President Donald Trump suggest that Ukraine could end the war with Russia 'almost immediately' if it simply concedes to Russian demands. This narrative undermines Ukrainian sovereignty and ignores the devastating human cost of Russian aggression. As European and US leaders gather to discuss the future of Ukraine, we must insist that peace efforts uphold justice, democracy, and the rights of the Ukrainian people.
As world leaders meet at the White House to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine, we are deeply concerned by calls for Ukraine to 'end the war' by capitulating to Russian demands. Such statements ignore the realities of Russian aggression, the suffering of millions of Ukrainians, and the fundamental principles of international law.
Peace cannot be achieved by forcing Ukraine to surrender its territory, abandon its aspirations for democracy, or accept foreign domination. True peace must be based on justice, accountability, and respect for Ukraine’s right to self-determination—including its right to choose its own alliances and future.
We call on all leaders present at the White House summit to:
- Reject any peace proposals that require Ukraine to cede territory or sovereignty under duress.
- Uphold Ukraine’s right to determine its own alliances, including potential NATO membership.
- Support robust humanitarian and reconstruction aid for Ukraine.
- Hold Russia accountable for war crimes and violations of international law.
- Ensure that any peace negotiations include meaningful participation from Ukrainian civil society and victims of the conflict.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and demand a peace process rooted in justice, not appeasement.
Key Demands
- Reject any peace proposals that require Ukraine to surrender territory or sovereignty.
- Defend Ukraine’s right to choose its own alliances, including NATO membership.
- Provide sustained humanitarian and reconstruction assistance to Ukraine.
- Hold Russia accountable for war crimes and violations of international law.
- Ensure Ukrainian civil society and conflict victims are included in peace negotiations.
