We call on the United States, as a key drafter of Security Council resolutions, and the broader international community to uphold the principles of self-determination, human rights, and justice. The UN must ensure that MINURSO's mandate includes robust mechanisms for human rights monitoring and a clear path toward a free and fair referendum, allowing the Sahrawi people to determine their own future without external pressure or predetermined outcomes.
