Support a Just and Lasting Peace for Ukraine—No Forced Land Concessions

As global leaders meet in Washington DC with President Volodymyr Zelensky, the fate of Ukraine hangs in the balance. Reports indicate that there is pressure on Ukraine to accept a peace deal that would force it to surrender the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, areas rich in resources and integral to Ukraine’s national identity.

Such a deal would not only violate international law but also reward aggression and occupation. Any lasting peace must be based on justice, respect for borders, and the democratic will of the Ukrainian people—not on coercion or threats.

We call on all leaders involved in these talks to:

• Reject any peace settlement that demands Ukraine cede territory under duress.
• Support an immediate ceasefire to halt the suffering of civilians.
• Ensure that Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are non-negotiable principles in all negotiations.
• Guarantee that the Ukrainian people have a decisive voice in any peace process.
• Provide robust security guarantees to deter further aggression and support Ukraine’s reconstruction and recovery.

Peace must be just, lasting, and rooted in the rights of all people to determine their own future. Stand with Ukraine for a fair and principled resolution to this conflict.
