Goal: We call on US, European, and Ukrainian leaders to ensure that any security guarantees for Ukraine are transparent, democratically accountable, and uphold the sovereignty and self-determination of the Ukrainian people.
The ongoing negotiations between the United States, European Union, and Russia regarding security guarantees for Ukraine are a critical turning point for peace and justice in the region. Security guarantees must be binding, enforceable, and developed in consultation with Ukrainian civil society. The world is watching, and the Ukrainian people deserve nothing less than full democratic participation in decisions about their future.
