Demand Ukrainian Voices in Peace Negotiations: No Deals Without Ukraine

We, the undersigned, are outraged by the exclusion of Ukrainian voices from critical peace negotiations that will determine the future of their country. As reported by The Boston Globe, Ukrainians who have fled the violence in Donbas and other occupied regions feel insulted and abandoned by the recent Alaska summit, where U.S. and Russian leaders discussed territorial swaps and security guarantees without Ukraine's participation.

President Zelensky was not even invited to the summit, while the world now discusses Ukraine permanently giving up land to Russia for peace. This is not only undemocratic but a violation of the right to self-determination. The people who have lost their homes, families, and livelihoods must not be further victimized by backroom deals that disregard their voices and dignity.

We call on U.S. leaders and international mediators to:

• Refuse to recognize or support any peace agreement negotiated without direct Ukrainian participation.
• Uphold Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity as recognized by international law.
• Center the experiences and demands of Ukrainian civilians displaced by the war in all negotiations.
• Hold all perpetrators of war crimes accountable, not reward them with territorial gains.

Ukrainians have the right to determine their own future. No deals about Ukraine without Ukraine!
