Target: President of the United States, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Congress
Goal: We call on the U.S. government to ensure transparency about the Trump-Putin Summit and to commit to a peace process that centers Ukrainian voices, upholds international law, and rejects backroom deals that sacrifice the rights and futures of the Ukrainian
The Trump-Putin Summit took place behind closed doors, with little information released to the public and no clear progress toward ending the war in Ukraine. As reports circulate about possible 'tentative peace agreements' that could force Ukraine to cede territory, we are deeply concerned about the lack of transparency and the exclusion of Ukrainian voices from these critical discussions.
The ongoing war has resulted in immense suffering, displacement, and loss of life. Any negotiation that disregards the rights and self-determination of the Ukrainian people is unacceptable. We demand that the U.S. government publicly disclose the details and commitments made during the summit, and that it reject any peace proposal that legitimizes territorial conquest or undermines Ukraine’s sovereignty.
We also urge the administration to support a diplomatic process that includes Ukrainian civil society, upholds international law, and prioritizes a just and lasting peace for all affected communities. The path to peace must not be paved with secrecy or at the expense of justice and human rights.
