Target: U.S. State Department, Armenian and Azerbaijani Governments, United Nations Security Council
Goal: Ensure that any corridor or peace initiative in the South Caucasus prioritizes local sovereignty, inclusive regional diplomacy, and the well-being of all communities—not foreign economic interests.
The Trump-backed TRIPP corridor, running through southern Armenia to connect Azerbaijan and Turkey, is being pushed forward with little regard for the perspectives and security concerns of the region’s people. Iran’s warnings and Russia’s exclusion from negotiations highlight the dangers of imposing external solutions on complex local realities. The exclusive U.S. development rights risk turning the corridor into a tool for resource extraction and geopolitical leverage, rather than a path to lasting peace and cooperation.
We call on all parties to halt unilateral moves and instead pursue a genuinely inclusive process that centers the voices of local communities, respects the sovereignty of all countries involved, and prioritizes peace-building over profit and power plays. Only through multilateral, transparent, and community-driven negotiations can the region avoid renewed conflict and build a just, sustainable future.
