Goal: Ensure that any agreements made in Washington fully respect Ukraine’s sovereignty, prioritize a just and lasting peace, and include robust democratic oversight of security guarantees.
As world leaders gather in Washington, D.C., to discuss Ukraine’s future, we urge all parties to uphold Ukraine’s right to self-determination and to pursue a peace process that is just, democratic, and sustainable. Any security guarantees or territorial agreements must be made transparently and with the full participation of the Ukrainian people and government. We call for continued diplomatic and economic pressure to end the aggression against Ukraine, and for all support to be conditioned on respect for human rights, democratic values, and the sovereignty of Ukraine.
We reject any deals that undermine Ukraine’s territorial integrity or are made without Ukraine’s explicit consent. Furthermore, we demand that security guarantees be subject to democratic oversight and that peace efforts prioritize the needs and voices of those most affected by the conflict. The international community must stand united in supporting a just and lasting peace, not only through military or economic means, but through diplomacy, humanitarian aid, and the strengthening of democratic institutions.
