Target: Oklahoma State Legislature, Oklahoma Attorney General, Oklahoma Ethics Commission, and the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA)
Goal: Ensure honest labeling of beef products, protect student athletes' rights to participate in school sports, and guarantee the safety and integrity of our elections.
Oklahomans deserve clear and honest information about the food they buy. Mislabeling imported beef as 'Made in the USA' deceives consumers and undermines local ranchers who work hard to provide quality products. We call for strong enforcement of truthful beef labeling to support our local producers and ensure consumer trust.
At the same time, students transferring between school districts should not be penalized or denied the right to participate in sports. The current OSSAA rules unfairly block many young people from playing, despite Oklahoma's open transfer laws. We demand that all students have equal opportunities to join school teams and benefit from extracurricular activities, regardless of their family circumstances.
Finally, the rise in threats against public officials is a threat to democracy itself. The Oklahoma Ethics Commission has taken a step in the right direction by allowing campaign funds to be used for home security, but more must be done to protect those who serve and to encourage diverse voices to run for office.
We urge our leaders to stand up for transparency, fairness, and safety in Oklahoma. Sign this petition to demand action now!
