Target: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, US President Donald Trump, and participating European leaders
Goal: Call on European leaders and the US President to provide robust, NATO-style security guarantees for Ukraine, reject any territorial concessions, and accelerate Ukraine's path to full EU membership.
Ukraine has endured years of brutal aggression and occupation. As world leaders gather in Washington to discuss Ukraine's security, we must not allow the fate of Ukraine to be decided without the Ukrainian people's full participation and consent.
Recent reports suggest that Russia may permit the US and European allies to offer Article 5-like security guarantees to Ukraine, but outside of the NATO framework. While this is a step forward, it is not enough. Ukraine deserves the same security as any other European nation, not a diluted version negotiated behind closed doors.
We are deeply concerned by proposals to move forward with peace talks without a prior ceasefire, and by any suggestion that Ukraine should cede territory in exchange for peace. Such concessions would reward aggression and undermine the principles of international law and self-determination.
We call on European and US leaders to:
We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and demand that their rights, safety, and future are not sacrificed for political expediency.
