Goal: Push Western governments and international institutions to abandon unrealistic demands and support direct, comprehensive peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, with the aim of ending the war and securing a just, stable future for Ukraine and Europ
The war in Ukraine continues to devastate lives and communities, with no end in sight. Current Western policy—insisting on an unconditional ceasefire or maximalist demands—has failed to produce peace and has instead entrenched a dangerous, semi-frozen conflict. This approach ignores the realities on the ground and the limits of military and diplomatic leverage, while risking further escalation and undermining democracy across Europe.
Proposals to deploy European troops or promise NATO membership to Ukraine, without the willingness or ability to follow through, are not only unrealistic but also dangerous. They risk deepening European dependence on the U.S., fueling further militarization, and prolonging the suffering of ordinary Ukrainians.
We call on Western leaders to abandon strategies that have failed and instead support direct, realistic negotiations that can deliver a comprehensive peace agreement. This means recognizing the legitimate security concerns of all parties, rejecting empty gestures, and focusing on concrete steps to end the war, rebuild Ukraine, and ensure long-term stability for the region.
