Reject Territorial Concessions: Demand a Just Peace for Ukraine

Related Article: European leaders to join Zelensky in Trump meeting | FOX 28 Spokane - fox28spokane.com - Sunday, August 17, 2025, 11:27:03 AM Eastern Daylight Time

Target: President Donald Trump, European Union leaders, NATO Secretary-General, and all members of the 'coalition of the willing'

Goal: Urge President Trump, European leaders, and the international community to reject any peace deal that requires Ukraine to cede territory to Russia, and instead support a just and sustainable peace based on Ukraine's sovereignty and self-determination.

As world leaders gather in Washington to discuss an end to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, proposals are surfacing that would force Ukraine to make territorial concessions in exchange for security guarantees. Such deals risk legitimizing aggression and undermining international law.

Recent reports indicate that the United States and Russia are considering a peace deal that would require Ukraine to surrender the Donetsk and Lugansk regions in exchange for a freeze on the frontline elsewhere. Ukrainian President Zelensky has rightfully refused any such concession, emphasizing that only genuine security guarantees—not imposed territorial losses—can bring lasting peace.

History shows that rewarding aggression with territorial gains only encourages further violations of international law and human rights. The people of Ukraine deserve peace, but not at the cost of their land, sovereignty, or future. We call on all leaders meeting in Washington to stand firm against any proposal that legitimizes Russia's invasion and occupation.

We demand a peace process that centers the voices and rights of Ukrainians, upholds international law, and rejects the normalization of territorial conquest. The world must not set a dangerous precedent that undermines the security of all nations.
