Demand Transparent, Just, and Inclusive Peace Negotiations for Ukraine

Target: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, President Donald Trump, and the White House

Goal: Ensure that any peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are transparent, uphold Ukraine's sovereignty, include civil society voices, and center the needs and rights of the Ukrainian people.

The ongoing war in Ukraine has caused immense suffering and displacement. Recent statements from U.S. officials emphasize the need for concessions from both sides, but peace cannot come at the expense of justice, sovereignty, or the voices of those most affected.

The war in Ukraine has devastated communities, claimed thousands of lives, and forced millions to flee their homes. While diplomatic efforts are critical, we are concerned by calls for 'concessions' that may pressure Ukraine into sacrificing its sovereignty or territorial integrity. Peace must not be imposed behind closed doors or at the expense of justice and self-determination.

Recent comments by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlight the push for negotiations but also suggest the possibility of further sanctions and secretive talks. We believe that any peace process must be open, accountable, and include the voices of Ukrainian civil society, not just political leaders and foreign powers.

We call on the U.S. government to commit to a transparent, just, and inclusive peace process that centers human rights, accountability for war crimes, and the democratic will of the Ukrainian people.
