The data shows a nearly 10-point drop in Democratic support compared to 2020, with significant shifts in Latino-heavy districts and traditionally blue areas.
While Governor Murphy has characterized this as a 'Trump moment,' the reality is that right-wing organizing and voter registration efforts are outpacing those of Democrats. This trend threatens the hard-won gains on healthcare, workers' rights, racial justice, and climate action that New Jerseyans have fought for.
We must not take our democracy for granted. We urge state leaders to invest in robust voter outreach, expand access to the ballot, and champion policies that address economic inequality, systemic racism, and the climate crisis. Only by mobilizing our communities and defending our values can we ensure New Jersey remains a state for all, not just the wealthy and well-connected.
