Goal: Ensure that any peace negotiations with Russia protect Ukraine’s territorial integrity, uphold international law, and provide robust, long-term security guarantees backed by the United States and European allies.
The ongoing war in Ukraine has resulted in over a million casualties and continues to threaten peace and stability in Europe. As leaders from Europe and the United States meet to discuss a possible peace deal, there is growing concern over proposals that would pressure Ukraine to cede significant territory to Russia in exchange for a so-called 'quick peace.' Such proposals undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty and set a dangerous precedent for international relations.
We urge all participants in the Washington talks to reject any settlement that forces Ukraine to surrender its land or accept Russia’s veto over its future alliances. Instead, negotiations must be guided by the principles of self-determination, international law, and the protection of human rights. The world must not reward aggression or legitimize the illegal occupation of Ukrainian territory.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and demand that any agreement reached includes robust, enforceable security guarantees with meaningful U.S. and European involvement, continued support for Ukraine’s defense, and the maintenance of strong sanctions on Russia until all occupied territories are returned.
