Goal: Urge Prime Minister Starmer and European leaders to reject any peace deal that legitimizes Russia’s illegal land grab in Ukraine.
On Monday, Prime Minister Keir Starmer will join President Zelensky and other European leaders for a pivotal meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington. Reports indicate that President Trump is considering pressuring Ukraine to accept a so-called 'peace deal' that would force Ukraine to cede the occupied regions of Donetsk and Luhansk to Russia.
This approach would reward aggression, violate international law, and set a dangerous precedent for future conflicts. Ukrainian sovereignty and the rights of its people must not be bargained away for the sake of expediency.
We call on Prime Minister Starmer and all European leaders to stand firm against any agreement that legitimizes Russia’s illegal occupation. True peace can only be achieved through respect for Ukraine's territorial integrity and the principles of international law.
