Demand Real Action for Peace and Accountability After the Trump-Putin Summit

Target: President Donald Trump, President Vladimir Putin, U.S. Congress, Russian State Duma, and international peace organizations
Goal: We call on U.S. and Russian leaders to take immediate, transparent, and accountable steps to end the war in Ukraine and to prioritize diplomacy, human rights, and the voices of those most affected.
The much-publicized Trump-Putin summit in Anchorage was billed as a turning point for peace, yet it ended with no agreements and no answers for the people of Ukraine or the global community. While both leaders praised their 'productive' discussions, they failed to deliver any tangible progress toward ending the violence or addressing the humanitarian crisis caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
We are deeply concerned by the lack of transparency, the absence of press questions, and the continued sidelining of Ukrainian voices. Diplomatic showmanship cannot substitute for real commitments to peace, accountability, and justice. The world cannot afford more empty promises while lives are lost and communities are destroyed.
We demand that both governments move beyond photo ops and take real, immediate steps to end the conflict, uphold international law, and center the needs and rights of those most impacted by war.
Key Demands
- Publicly commit to an immediate and verifiable ceasefire in Ukraine, with international oversight.
- Include Ukrainian representatives and civil society in all negotiations and peace processes.
- Ensure transparency by holding open press conferences and releasing detailed summaries of all diplomatic meetings.
- Prioritize humanitarian aid and safe passage for civilians affected by the conflict.
- Hold accountable those responsible for war crimes and human rights violations, regardless of rank or nationality.
- Engage with international organizations, including the United Nations, to facilitate a just and lasting peace.
