We are deeply concerned by the decision to send hundreds of National Guard troops from West Virginia, South Carolina, and Ohio to Washington, DC, in response to a federal request for a 'crime crackdown.' This action, supported by thousands of police and federal law enforcement personnel, threatens to escalate tensions and undermine the rights of DC residents.
