Target: U.S. State Department, Russian Foreign Ministry, Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, United Nations
Goal: Ensure that Ukraine is at the center of all peace negotiations and that any diplomatic process toward ending the war fully respects Ukrainian sovereignty and self-determination.
The Alaska summit between President Trump and President Putin was touted as a possible turning point in the Ukraine conflict, yet it produced no concrete agreement or path to peace. In its aftermath, Russia has engaged in separate talks with Turkey and Hungary—key regional players—without Ukraine's direct involvement.
This exclusion undermines Ukraine's sovereignty and the principle that only Ukrainians should determine their nation's future. Diplomatic activity that bypasses Ukraine risks legitimizing decisions made without the consent of those most affected by the war. We call on all parties to center Ukraine in every step of the peace process, and to ensure that any negotiations are transparent, inclusive, and uphold international law.
We urge global leaders and institutions to reject any settlement or negotiation that does not prioritize Ukrainian voices and rights. True and lasting peace can only be achieved through a process that respects the agency and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
