Goal: We call on European leaders, the US government, and all parties involved to reject any peace plan that legitimizes Russian land grabs or bypasses the Ukrainian people's democratic rights.

As European leaders and President Zelensky prepare to meet with Donald Trump at the White House, there are alarming reports that a deal is being considered which would force Ukraine to cede significant territory to Russia. Such an agreement, negotiated without the full consent of the Ukrainian people and in violation of international law, would undermine peace, justice, and the right to self-determination.

We are deeply concerned by reports that a proposed peace plan for Ukraine, discussed between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, would force Ukraine to surrender the regions of Donetsk and Luhansk to Russian control. This plan, if enacted, would set a dangerous precedent, rewarding aggression and violating the fundamental principles of sovereignty and self-determination.

Peace must not come at the expense of justice, democracy, or the rights of the Ukrainian people. Any agreement must be based on the will of Ukraine's citizens, respect for international law, and a genuine ceasefire—not the imposition of terms by outside powers or aggressors.

We urge European leaders and the US administration to stand firm against any undemocratic deal. Instead, they must support a negotiated settlement that protects Ukraine's territorial integrity and upholds the principles of peace and justice for all.

Reject any peace plan that legitimizes Russian control over occupied Ukrainian territories without the consent of the Ukrainian people.
Ensure that any negotiations include a genuine and verifiable ceasefire as a precondition for further talks.
Uphold Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in line with international law.
