Demand a Just and Lasting Peace for Ukraine—No Deals Without Accountability and Human Rights

The ongoing war in Ukraine has resulted in immense human suffering, displacement, and the violation of fundamental rights. As President Zelensky, President Trump, and President Putin engage in high-level talks, we must make it clear: Real peace is not achieved by sacrificing justice or ignoring the voices of those most affected.

President Zelensky has called for an end to the violence, the release of all Ukrainian prisoners and abducted children, and the return of occupied territories. European leaders have reaffirmed that Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are non-negotiable, and that Russia must not be allowed to dictate the terms of Ukraine’s future.

We urge all parties to reject any settlement that rewards aggression, legitimizes occupation, or abandons those who have suffered most. Negotiations must be transparent, inclusive, and accountable to international law and human rights standards.

We call on global leaders to:

• Ensure the immediate release of all Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilian detainees.
• Secure the safe return of all children abducted by Russian forces.
• Maintain international pressure and sanctions until all forms of occupation and aggression cease.
• Guarantee that any peace agreement is subject to oversight by international human rights bodies.
• Respect Ukraine’s right to self-determination, including its security partnerships and territorial integrity.
