Target: United States Government, President Donald Trump, International Community, United Nations
Goal: Call on world leaders to reject any agreement or negotiation that legitimizes Russia’s invasion of Ukraine or cedes Ukrainian territory without Ukraine’s consent.
The recent meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska, was marked by lavish displays and warm gestures, but it excluded Ukrainian leadership and failed to deliver a just outcome for Ukraine. There is growing concern that any deal made without Ukraine’s input could set a dangerous precedent, rewarding aggression and undermining the international rule of law.
We echo the call of leaders around the world, including Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who insist that Russia must not be rewarded for its illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine. The sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine must be protected, and any peace negotiations must include Ukrainian voices and respect their rights.
Allowing Russia to gain territory through force would embolden future acts of aggression and erode the foundations of global security. We demand that world leaders uphold justice, support a genuine ceasefire, and ensure accountability for violations of international law.
