Demand a Just Peace Process for Ukraine—No Deals Without Ukrainian Sovereignty

As peace negotiations between the US, Russia, and Ukraine accelerate, we are alarmed by reports that Russia is pushing for negotiations based on current front lines rather than Ukraine's internationally recognized borders. This approach risks legitimizing territorial conquest and undermines international law. Any peace process must center Ukrainian voices and reject deals that reward aggression or bypass the Ukrainian people’s will.

We call on the US, EU, and German leaders to:

• Reject any territorial concessions to Russia that are not agreed to by Ukraine.
• Ensure Ukraine's sovereignty and internationally recognized borders are non-negotiable in all talks.
• Guarantee that Ukrainian civil society and government are fully included in all negotiations.
• Commit to robust security guarantees for Ukraine, not just symbolic gestures.
• Hold Russia accountable for ongoing aggression and violations of international law.

Peace must not come at the expense of justice or the rights of the Ukrainian people. Stand with Ukraine for a just and lasting peace!
