Demand Consistent, Unified Communication from Democratic Leadership to Rebuild Our Nation

Years of cuts to government agencies, expansion of executive power, and policies favoring the wealthy have left our nation weakened at home and abroad. Essential services, scientific research, and social safety nets have been undermined, while the federal workforce has been decimated and public trust eroded.

As we approach the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential election, the Democratic Party must be prepared to not only win elections but also to govern effectively and rebuild what has been lost. This will require time, resources, and—most importantly—public support. However, the party has long struggled with fragmented and inconsistent messaging, allowing opponents to define the narrative and sow division.

We urge Democratic leaders to adopt a unified communication strategy that:

• Clearly explains the necessity of rebuilding government agencies and restoring essential services
• Highlights the fiscal irresponsibility of recent Republican administrations and their impact on the national debt
• Defends the importance of checks and balances and a functioning democracy
• Addresses the need for fair taxation and investment in the public good
• Restores America’s standing as a global leader in democracy and human rights
• Celebrates the common values that unite us, countering polarization and division

Consistent, honest, and coordinated messaging is vital to winning the trust of the American people, achieving electoral victories, and ensuring lasting progress. We demand that Democratic leaders act now to build the communication infrastructure necessary for success in 2026, 2028, and beyond.
