The world stands at a crossroads. The US-Russia relationship has reached its lowest point since the Cold War, with the conflict in Ukraine threatening millions and risking global security. Recent talks between US and Russian leaders have opened the door for a new era of diplomacy, but progress will only be possible if the United States takes Russia's national security concerns seriously and pursues a just, negotiated settlement.
As the two largest nuclear powers, the US and Russia have a moral responsibility to prevent further bloodshed and escalation.
