Target: President of the United States, US Congress, and the Department of State

Goal: We call on US policymakers to immediately reverse punitive tariffs on Indian goods, end discriminatory immigration enforcement against Indian nationals, and recommit to a respectful, mutually beneficial partnership with India.

Recent actions by the US administration have severely undermined the relationship between the United States and India, threatening vital diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties. Escalating tariffs, public humiliation of Indian leadership, and increased deportations of Indian immigrants are not only unjust but also counterproductive to long-term global cooperation.

The US-India relationship has long been a cornerstone of international cooperation, fostering economic growth, technological innovation, and cultural exchange. However, recent decisions by the US administration—including a drastic increase in tariffs on Indian imports and hostile rhetoric toward Indian leadership—have jeopardized this partnership.

These actions have not only strained diplomatic ties but also risk pushing India closer to rival powers, undermining efforts to build a more just and multipolar world. The targeting of Indian students and immigrants with increased deportations and harassment further erodes trust and damages the fabric of both nations.

We urge US leaders to recognize the value of a fair, respectful relationship with India, grounded in equality and mutual benefit, and to take concrete steps to repair the damage done.

Key Demands

Immediately rescind punitive tariffs imposed on Indian goods and commit to fair trade negotiations.
End discriminatory immigration enforcement targeting Indian nationals and ensure the safety and rights of Indian students and workers in the US.
Publicly reaffirm the US commitment to a respectful and equitable partnership with India, avoiding inflammatory rhetoric and unilateral actions.
Support multilateral cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, including the Quad, with a focus on diplomacy, peace, and shared prosperity.
Engage in transparent dialogue with Indian leadership to address concerns and rebuild trust.
