Target: U.S. Congress, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Department of Commerce
Goal: We call on Congress and federal agencies to strengthen oversight, enforce trade transparency, and ensure that multinational corporations cannot evade tariffs at the expense of workers and public services.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has revealed a massive scheme involving up to 250 shell companies in Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Indonesia, orchestrated to evade U.S. tariffs. These companies, many of which have no actual manufacturing activity, are being used to transship goods and defraud the U.S. government of hundreds of millions of dollars in trade duties.
This illegal activity not only undermines the integrity of our trade system but also harms American workers and communities by enabling corporations to skirt labor, environmental, and tax regulations. The loss of tariff revenue directly impacts public services, infrastructure, and the social safety net that millions rely on.
We demand immediate action to close loopholes, hold corporations accountable, and protect the interests of working people both in the U.S. and abroad. Trade should be fair, transparent, and accountable—not a tool for corporate profit at the expense of society.
