The United States deserves leadership that makes critical diplomatic decisions based on comprehensive information, not just television images or sensationalized media. Our foreign policy impacts millions of lives worldwide, and it is imperative that those in power engage with facts, expert analysis, and the voices of affected communities.

Recent reports have highlighted a troubling trend: major U.S. foreign policy decisions are being shaped by what the President sees on television, rather than by expert briefings or the needs of vulnerable populations. This approach has led to inconsistent responses to humanitarian crises, such as the famine in Gaza, and has undermined the credibility of U.S. diplomacy on the world stage.

Relying on TV images and sensationalist media for policy guidance is insufficient and dangerous. The American people expect their leaders to be well-informed and to act in the best interests of global peace, justice, and human rights.
