Demand a Just Peace for Ukraine: No Deals That Reward Aggression

The recent summit between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin has resulted in a dangerous shift away from calls for a ceasefire in Ukraine. Instead, there is now talk of a 'full peace accord' that would allow Russia to retain control over parts of Ukraine in exchange for halting its offensive elsewhere. This approach rewards aggression and undermines the principles of international law.

Ukrainian President Zelensky and European leaders have voiced concern that such negotiations serve only to buy time for Russia and legitimize its illegal occupation. The people of Ukraine have the right to self-determination and security, and any peace process must reflect their voices and needs, not the interests of aggressors.

We call on President Trump, European leaders, and all international actors to:

• Reject any peace deal that surrenders Ukrainian territory to Russia.
• Maintain and strengthen diplomatic and economic pressure on Russia until it fully withdraws from occupied regions.
• Ensure Ukrainian participation and consent in all negotiations affecting their sovereignty.
• Hold perpetrators of war crimes accountable through international mechanisms.
• Support humanitarian aid and reconstruction for affected Ukrainian communities.

Peace cannot be achieved by sacrificing justice or rewarding those who wage war. Stand with Ukraine for a just and lasting peace.
