Target: President Joe Biden, US Congress, European Union Leaders, United Nations Secretary-General
Goal: We call on US and European leaders to reject any peace deal that forces Ukraine to cede territory under threat, and to ensure robust, enforceable security guarantees for Ukraine’s future.
The ongoing war in Ukraine has already caused immense suffering, with over a million people killed or wounded and countless civilians displaced. Proposals that pressure Ukraine to surrender territory to Russia—especially without a ceasefire—reward aggression and violate the principle of self-determination.
President Trump’s recent statements, echoing Moscow’s demands, risk legitimizing land grabs and further emboldening authoritarian regimes. Any peace agreement must be based on Ukraine’s sovereignty, the will of its people, and international law—not on coercion or the interests of powerful aggressors.
We urge US and European leaders to stand firm against forced territorial concessions and to provide Ukraine with the security guarantees it needs to deter future invasions. Anything less is a betrayal of international norms and the people of Ukraine.
