This sets a dangerous precedent: no country has been forced to surrender its own land to an aggressor since World War II.
Meanwhile, Trump’s decision to lift secondary sanctions on Russian oil is a daily gift of $205 million to Putin’s war machine, undermining efforts to end the invasion and emboldening authoritarian regimes worldwide. The optics and substance of the summit—American soldiers bowing before Putin, US protocol upended, and Russia dictating terms—signal a troubling shift in global power and a betrayal of democratic values.
