Target: Prime Minister Mark Carney, President Donald Trump, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and all members of the Coalition of the Willing
Goal: We call on global leaders to ensure that any negotiations or agreements to end the war in Ukraine are led by and center the voices and interests of the Ukrainian people, uphold international law, and guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty and security.
The recent summit in Alaska between President Trump and President Putin, which excluded Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, highlights a troubling trend of sidelining those most affected by the war. While robust security guarantees are essential for peace, any diplomatic process that does not prioritize Ukrainian agency risks undermining justice and self-determination.
We are deeply concerned that peace talks are being conducted without meaningful Ukrainian participation and without binding commitments to a ceasefire, accountability for war crimes, or the restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. The international community must not allow political expediency to override the rights and voices of Ukrainians.
We urge all parties to reject backroom deals and instead pursue a transparent, inclusive peace process grounded in international law and the will of the Ukrainian people.
