Protect Ukraine's Sovereignty: Reject Forced Territorial Concessions and NATO Exclusion
Related Article: Ukraine to be forced to give up territory & forget about Nato under peace terms - the-sun.com - Saturday, August 16, 2025, 5:55:28 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Target: President Joe Biden, President Volodymyr Zelensky, President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, Chancellor Friedrich Merz, President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and all negotiating parties
Goal: Demand that world leaders uphold Ukraine's right to self-determination, reject any forced territorial concessions, and ensure Ukraine's sovereign choice to join alliances like NATO and the EU.
Recent reports indicate that Ukraine may be pressured into ceding large portions of its eastern territory and abandoning its aspirations to join NATO and the EU, as part of a peace deal negotiated without full Ukrainian participation. Such terms undermine Ukraine's sovereignty and set a dangerous precedent for international relations.
The ongoing negotiations between the United States, Russia, and European leaders regarding the future of Ukraine threaten to undermine the fundamental principles of sovereignty and self-determination. Reports suggest that Ukraine may be forced to surrender the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, forgo NATO membership, and accept externally imposed security guarantees that fall short of full alliance protection.
These terms are being discussed without full Ukrainian participation and under immense pressure, disregarding the will of the Ukrainian people and the heavy sacrifices they have made defending their country from aggression. Allowing Russia to dictate Ukraine's borders and alliances rewards illegal invasion and sets a dangerous precedent for international law and the rights of smaller nations.
We call on all negotiating parties to:
- Respect Ukraine's internationally recognized borders and reject any forced territorial concessions.
- Uphold Ukraine's sovereign right to choose its own security alliances, including NATO and the EU.
- Guarantee that no decisions about Ukraine's future are made without the full participation and consent of its democratically elected government.
- Maintain and strengthen sanctions on Russia until all aggression ceases and all prisoners and abducted civilians are returned.
- Ensure that any security guarantees provided to Ukraine are robust, binding, and do not limit Ukraine's defense capabilities or international cooperation.
Peace must not come at the expense of justice, sovereignty, or the right of nations to determine their own future. Stand with Ukraine. Demand a just peace, not a dictated surrender.
Key Demands
- Reject any peace agreement that forces Ukraine to cede territory or abandon its internationally recognized borders.
- Uphold Ukraine's sovereign right to pursue membership in NATO and the European Union.
- Ensure that all negotiations about Ukraine's future include full Ukrainian participation and consent.
- Maintain and expand sanctions on Russia until all aggression ends, and all prisoners and abducted civilians are returned.
- Provide Ukraine with binding, robust security guarantees that do not limit its defense capabilities or international cooperation.
