Support Strong Security Guarantees and Ukraine's Right to Self-Determination

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine demands a principled response from global leaders. While discussions are underway regarding U.S.-backed security guarantees, reports indicate that the current administration is not considering NATO membership or the deployment of U.S. troops as part of these guarantees. This limited approach undermines Ukraine's right to determine its own future and leaves the country vulnerable to further aggression.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has clearly stated that security must be reliable, long-term, and involve both Europe and the U.S. He has also emphasized that all critical decisions, especially those regarding Ukraine's territorial integrity, must be made with Ukraine's full participation. European leaders have echoed these sentiments, insisting that Russia should not have veto power over Ukraine's alliances or its path to the European Union or NATO.

We urge U.S. policymakers to honor Ukraine's sovereignty, provide meaningful security guarantees, and support Ukraine's right to join international alliances without external interference.
