Target: Brazilian Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Goal: We call on the Brazilian government to expand protections for workers and small producers harmed by U.S. tariffs, and to pursue trade policies that prioritize people and the environment over corporate interests.
As the United States imposes harsh tariffs on Brazilian exports, thousands of workers and small producers are at risk of losing their livelihoods. President Lula has rightly denounced these tariffs and taken steps to support affected companies, but the relief package unveiled so far is not enough to shield the most vulnerable communities from economic harm.
We urge the Brazilian government to strengthen its response by increasing direct support to workers, investing in sustainable industries, and diversifying trade partnerships. Brazil must not allow foreign policy disputes to undermine the rights and well-being of its people. Instead, we should build a fair, just, and sustainable economy that resists external pressure and puts people before profit.
We stand in solidarity with all workers, farmers, and communities impacted by these tariffs, and demand bold action to defend Brazil's sovereignty and social justice.
