Goal: Urge the US government to reject any peace proposal that concedes Ukrainian territory to Russia without the democratic consent of the Ukrainian people, and to maintain robust support for Ukraine’s self-determination.
We are alarmed by reports that the US administration is considering a peace framework for Ukraine that would force the country to cede the Donbas region and freeze front lines elsewhere, all without a ceasefire or meaningful input from the Ukrainian people. This approach echoes the disastrous appeasement of Munich 1938, when world powers sacrificed the sovereignty of smaller nations in the name of 'peace'—with catastrophic consequences.
Ukrainians have paid an enormous price defending their democracy and territorial integrity. Any peace process that bypasses their voices or rewards the Kremlin’s invasion is a betrayal of basic principles of self-determination and international law. The US must not legitimize land grabs or authoritarian aggression by pressuring Ukraine into unjust concessions.
We call on US leaders to reject any deal that trades away Ukrainian territory or security without a democratic mandate from Ukraine’s people. Peace must be built on justice, accountability, and respect for sovereignty—not on the terms of the aggressor.
