Target: Governments of India, the United Kingdom, the United States, Russia, Ukraine, and international diplomatic bodies
Goal: Urge governments, including India, the UK, the US, Russia, and Ukraine, to prioritize a just and sustainable peace agreement that respects Ukraine’s sovereignty and the rights of all affected communities.
Recent high-level talks between the US, Russia, Ukraine, and European leaders have highlighted the urgent need to end the war in Ukraine. While these discussions are a positive step, peace must not come at the expense of justice, accountability, or the self-determination of the Ukrainian people. Any agreement must be grounded in international law, uphold human rights, and include civil society voices—especially those of Ukrainians directly impacted by the conflict.
We call on all governments involved to commit to a peace process that:
Peace is not just the absence of war, but the presence of justice. We urge all parties to act with courage and principle to secure a future where all people in Ukraine can live in safety and dignity.
