Target: Governments of India, South Korea, and the United States
Goal: We call on the governments of India, South Korea, and the United States to reject protectionist tariffs, uphold fair trade, and prioritize diplomacy and peace over militarization and economic coercion.
The imposition of excessive tariffs by the United States on Indian and South Korean exports undermines the principles of fair trade and economic justice. These measures disproportionately harm workers, farmers, and small businesses in the Global South, exacerbating inequality and stifling development. At the same time, recent violent attacks and military escalations in South Asia highlight the urgent need for peaceful diplomacy and solidarity among nations.
We commend those who condemn violence and terrorism, but we also urge all parties to address the root causes of conflict and to avoid retaliatory militarization. True security comes from social and economic justice, not from punitive economic measures or military strikes. We call for a renewed commitment to multilateralism, fair trade, and peaceful conflict resolution.
