Demand Strong EU-Led Security Guarantees and No Concessions on Ukraine’s Sovereignty

The recent Trump-Putin summit in Alaska has sparked deep concerns across Europe about the future of Ukraine’s sovereignty and the risk of a peace deal that undermines Ukrainian and European security. European leaders have issued a joint declaration demanding ironclad security guarantees for Ukraine, direct EU involvement in negotiations, and a firm rejection of any territorial concessions or imposed limits on Ukraine’s armed forces and international partnerships.

It is critical that the European Union stands united and uncompromising in its support for Ukraine. We call on EU leaders to:

• Refuse any peace agreement that grants Russia a veto over Ukraine’s pathway to EU and NATO membership.
• Reject all territorial concessions and ensure that Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders are respected.
• Guarantee there are no restrictions on Ukraine’s armed forces or its cooperation with other countries.
• Maintain and strengthen sanctions and economic measures against Russia until all hostilities cease and Ukraine’s sovereignty is fully restored.
• Insist on direct EU participation in all future negotiations regarding Ukraine’s future.

Europe must not be sidelined. We urge EU leaders to uphold these principles and ensure that any peace process protects Ukraine’s self-determination and the security of all Europeans.
